On 4 May 2019, Ambassador Arunrung Phothong Humphreys presided over the Buddhist merit making ceremony on the auspicious occasion of the Coronation of His Majesty the King at Dharmarajika Buddhist Monastery. The ceremony was attended by some 70 people including the Embassy staffs, members of Team Thailand in Bangladesh as well as Thai people in Bangladesh. Attendants paid respect to His Majesty the King and participated in religious activities including alms offering, prayer ceremony, merit making. After the ceremony, the Ambassador presented 3,000 kg of rice to the Dharmarajika Orphanage. The Ambassador and other attendants then proceeded to visit the Dharmarajika High School and together donated school supplies to 350 orphans.
