On 14 May, the Royal Thai Embassy repatriated 197 Thai nationals in Bangladesh back to Thailand by Thai Lion Air special flight number SL2225. It departed Dhaka at 11.00 hrs. and will arrive in Bangkok at 14.30 hrs. The Ambassador and officers of the Embassy were at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to facilitate and see off the Thai nationals.

The Embassy arranged its first repatriation flight on 17 April 2020 and brought back 35 Thai nationals in Bangladesh to Thailand. Another special flight will be arranged to bring back more Thai nationals who have requested to return to Thailand.

The Embassy wholeheartedly thanks the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Immigration of Bangladesh and Airport staffs for their facilitation for the smooth departure of Thai nationals.
