On 9 July 2020, H.E. Ms. Arunrung Phothong Humphreys, Ambassador of Thailand to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, handed over basic food items, worth around 100,000 Taka, to Bidyanondo Foundation to support its emergency response in flood-affected areas in Bangladesh during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Firoz Salah Uddin, Executive Member, represented Bidyanondo Foundation at the hand-over event. Also present were the Embassy’s diplomats and two other representatives of the Foundation.

This donation represents ties of friendship existing between Thais and Bangladeshis. We, the Thai community and the Embassy, hope that this contribution will help address the needs of those affected by COVID-19 at this difficult time. Donated food items included rice, lentils, gram seeds, semolina and cooking oil. Together we will get through this difficult time.
