On 27 August 2024, Ambassador Makawadee Sumitmor and Embassy officials organized the Royal Thai Volunteer Project on the auspicious occasion of the 6th Birthday Cycle of His Majesty the King of Thailand by providing essential relief items such as rice, lentils, drinking water, cooking oil, medicine and clothes through Help Foundation to people in Bangladesh affected by the current severe flood.

The Embassy received contribution from a number of Thai companies in Bangladesh including CP Bangladesh, Thai President Foods Plc., Bentech Chemical and Italian-Thai Development Plc., as well as the Thai community in Bangladesh.

The Help Foundation was established in 2010, with the objective to reduce poverty and promote sustainable development in healthcare and education. Currently, approximately 80 volunteer workers are helping flood victims in Bangladesh.
