On 4 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka hosted a reception at the Embassy to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Thailand's National Day, and Father's Day for the year 2025.
Brigadier Geneal Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor to the Ministry of Shipping and Ministry of Labour and Employment, was the Guest of Honour. Approximately 200 guests attended the event, including members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations, government agencies, and representatives of the Thai and Bangladeshi business sectors.
H.E. Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, offered a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and delivered a speech in remembrance of the great benevolence of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. The Ambassador also spoke about Thai-Bangladesh bilateral relations in the political, economic, and social spheres, multilateral cooperation over the past year, as well as upcoming projects and activities to promote future relations.
The event featured Thai food and desserts including a display of fruit and vegetable carving. The Embassy also received support for cultural performances from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), New Delhi Office, to promote Thai soft power in Thai food and culture.
