On 8 June 2022, H.E. Mrs. Makawadee Sumitmor, presented to His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan at Tashichhodzong, the Letter of Credence accrediting her as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bhutan.
In the presentation of credentials, there were Ambassadors of Germany, Argentina, Cuba, Israel, and Colombia, with residence in New Delhi, who also presented the Letter of Credence to His Majesty the King.
On this occasion, His Majesty the King granted an audience to the Ambassador along with the Ambassadors from five countries to discuss and exchange views on the way forward to restore and develop Bhutan after the COVID-19, especially the enhancement of volunteerism through De-suung Skilling Programme, digital economy, as well as the compatibility between Buddhism and digital society.
